To Drink in Foz Do Arelho
It is hard to make a case for having a drink in town when much of the action in Foz do Arelho is near the beach but Pastelaria Beta is always welcoming locals and tourists alike in search of authentic regional pastries and an espresso. Along the waterfront promenade the choices seem endless. All the bars and cafes have ample deck seating on a sunny day and cozy indoor areas to watch storms come in. It is hard to pick just one spot but if you walk all the way past the lagoon to the crashing Atlantic, Oasis awaits. It has English owners and attracts a lot of expats and locals alike because of its jaw dropping location. It almost has a funky California surf shack vibe and once you settle in with a drink in the sun, it is hard to go anywhere else. Of course, anywhere you select along the beach has a million dollar view, so it is difficult to go astray.
