February 2023: A Month of Love and Carnival!
With parades, songs, and wild festivities, the carnival season is one of its most colourful times. Wonderful dancing, musical, and dramatic performances can be found during Carnival on the Silver Coast.
The month of February is distinctive and fascinating. It is the shortest month of the year, it's the only month of the year that can pass without a single full moon (it takes almost 20 years for the cycle of lunar phases to work out just right. The next month without a full moon will be February 2037), and it is the only month in which a leap year can or cannot occur. Valentine's Day is celebrated on February 14th, making it a month dedicated to love. Around the world, people celebrate this day with cards, presents, flowers, and candy.
Since Carnival is observed on February 21st this year, the month of February is a little more joyous. With parades, songs, and wild festivities, the carnival season is one of its most colorful times. Wonderful dancing, musical, and dramatic performances can be found during Carnival on the Silver Coast.

Carnaval da Benedita

Carnaval da Marinha Grande
