While there are plenty of chain stores outside of the historic center of Alcobaça, the best boutique shopping can be found wandering the historic cobbled streets. Everything from luxury bed linens, to handmade ceramics, and beautiful Portuguese scarves await your discovery. Made in Alcobaca sells incredible aprons and other colorful gift items. There is a weekly flea market on Mondays and two big annual fairs in August and October. These popular fairs are one stop shopping for dining, entertainment and local, handmade goods.
