Bay is a modern, spacious apartment with amazing views from the terrace and balcony. It was stocked with everything you need and much more. The pool was a welcome extra as were the sun loungers. The beach, restaurants, shops and a supermarket are a few minutes walk away. There is a good selection of restaurants and bars. A stroll along the beach to explore the sand dune and river at the other end of the bay is well worth it. Would highly recommend.

São Martinho do Porto is a beautiful place. The pickup place for the keys very friendly and helpful. The appartement is located near the beach. This is very convenient. In the nighttime there was a lot of noise of playing local children who can come in to the premises because this is not closed for public. We advice to change this. The parkingspace is almost impossible to reach and on the streets it is hard to find a space. Mattresses where on the hard site. The balcony on the fist floor has a very lovely view!

El apartamento es amplio, muy comodo, y muy bien equipado. La ubicacion perfecta. Lo reserve con parking. Y me informaron posteriormente que la plaza de garage era de dificil acceso y pequeña.

 

The apartment is spacious, very comfortable, and very well equipped. The location is perfect. I booked it with parking. I was later informed that the parking space was difficult to access and small.

Tout était parfait : grand appartement , terrasses agréables , vue sur la mer , accès direct à la plage et à la piscine . Excellent rapport qualité prix ! À refaire !!!

Wonderful view from the balcony and excellent location! The apartment itself is very well equipped and clean. It was a great stay! The apartment accommodates a maximum of 6 people, however, whoever sleeps in the living room will have a lot of light at dawn due to the glass doors at the entrance that do not have blackout or curtains!

Muito próximo da praia e do centro de São Martinho do Porto.  O horário definido para o check in e check out deveriam ser repensados. Entrar só depois das 16h e sair antes das 10h compromete bastante o usufruto de dois dias (o primeiro e o último).

Very close to the beach and the center of São Martinho do Porto. The set times for check in and check out should be rethought. Entering only after 4pm and leaving before 10am greatly compromises the enjoyment of two days (the first and last).

Good location. Excellent views. Quiet. All necessary amenities for cooking (including a range of food items kindly provided by the owner). Only downfall was the delay in receiving the key.

 

The two story condo was clean and prepared when we arrived. The kitchen was well equipped and had some basics needed for making coffees, teas and basic cooking. The condo is only a few stairs from the promenade and the beach. We did not use the living room so much and preferred to stay in the balcony upstairs or in the glass protected entrance hall with cozy seats and wonderful views. The management was responsive and helpful. They also managed the check-in and checkout process contactless.

A localização é incrível e o apartamento também é muito bom, moderno e espaçoso.
Apenas ficou a desejar o acesso á piscina ser limitado a 5 pessoas quando a capacidade da casa são 6, o nadador salvador indicou que bastava que o proprietário solicitasse mais uma pulseira. O sofá cama precisa ser substituído , mais vale dormir no chão porque é super desconfortável e desnivelado. Pagar para dormir no chão foi o ponto baixo da estadia.

 

Bay Experience

The location is incredible and the apartment is also very good, modern and spacious. The only negative was that access to the pool was limited to 5 people when the house has a capacity of 6. The lifeguard said that the owner just had to request another wristband. The sofa bed needs to be replaced. It's better to sleep on the floor because it's super uncomfortable and uneven. Paying to sleep on the floor was the low point of the stay.

Adorámos tudo em modo geral.O apartamento em si,vista,localização,equipamentos na casa. O único ponto negativo é facto de só darem 5 pulseiras para a piscina visto que as crianças também necessitam de uso.

 

We loved everything in general. The apartment itself, view, location, equipment in the house. The only negative point is the fact that they only give 5 bracelets for the pool as children also need to use them.

Het duplexappartement was heel fijn en compleet ingericht. Het zwembad was super en het strand is binnen 5 minuten te voet te bereiken. Alle restaurants en een minimarkt waren op loopafstand beschikbaar.
Beschikbaarheid van locale agent Smarthomes (bijvoorbeeld 1 uur te laat bij het ophalen van de sleutel), mede door slechte afstemming tussen de collega's van Smarthomes onderling. De aanwijzingen om het appartement te kunnen vinden waren niet duidelijk. We zouden nummer 19D hebben maar dit bleek 2-F-D te moeten zijn. Niemand had ons dat verteld toen we de sleutel ophaalden zodat we lang hebben moeten zoeken (en anderen ook) . Bij het uitchecken was er niemand bij Smarthomes aanwezig om de sleutel aan te nemen en cash betaalde borg terug te geven.

 

Nice holiday in a beautiful apartment

The duplex apartment was very nice and fully furnished. The swimming pool was great and the beach is within 5 minutes walking distance. All restaurants and a mini market were within walking distance.
Availability of local agent Smarthomes (for example 1 hour late when picking up the key), partly due to poor coordination between colleagues from Smarthomes. The directions to find the apartment were not clear. We were supposed to have number 19D but this turned out to be 2-F-D. Nobody told us that when we picked up the key so we had to search for a long time (and others too). When checking out, nobody was present at Smarthomes to accept the key and return the cash deposit.

What we liked most was the cleanliness, the utensils available, the full pantry, WiFi and the location.

The location is amazing and the view is stunning. The apartment is fully equipped, really fully equipped: you just need to bring yourself and your clothes. Walking distance from everywhere. You can enjoy any moment of your day looking at the ocean from there. The staff is very professional and friendly. we will keep this place in our heart.

Very good location, the rooms are very clean and comfortable. Super equipped kitchen. We felt at home straight away.

My wife and I have just spent a glorious 3 weeks staying in "Bay", could happily have stayed there much longer. The apartment fully met expectations and is situated in a perfect location. Very close to the beach, bars, restaurants and shops. This was our first holiday in Portugal and certainly won't be our last! Just a shame we left it so long. What struck us was that the Portuguese people are so friendly and helpful with nothing being too much trouble. Rental retreats were most helpful and the booking process very easy and with no problems. Would certainly use them again.

Sao Martinho do Porto -Apartment D - Block 19 Fantastic venue well stocked with everything you need, outstanding view, small grocery store within walking distance but very confusing apartment numbering/lettering with front doors on both back and front of building (we were not the only residents that found this confusing) see attached photo of numbering above our door (we were D-19?) we weren't sure if we could use garage and nobody advised us so two sixty year olds dragged our cases and groceries from back to front only to find a garage for our use needless to say we used garage to pack car when we had to leave! Negatives: We wish pool was heated we came end of April/May timeframe master Bed frame very squeaky (woke hubby up if I had to pee in middle of night), coffee carafe missing from machine, so used mugs to fill but there are Bodem's available, metal clothes dryer needs replacing with plastic as left rust stains on clothes. Pedestal sinks could be updated with more modern cabinets giving more space on sink area and would prefer a walk in shower rather than a bath/shower.

In diesem Appartment ist alles da, was man braucht: Im Erdgeschoss kleine Terrasse mit kleinem Tisch, Wohnzimmer mit 2 Couchen und TV, Esstisch mit 6 Stühlen, WLAN, Gäste-WC, Küche m. Abstellkammer (Waschmaschine, Geschirrspüler, Backofen, 4-flammiger Gasherd, Dunstabzug, Doppelspüle, Kühlschrank mit separatem Gefrierteil, Kochutensilien bis hin zur Kuchenform). Im ersten Stock Bad mit Badewanne und integrierter Dusche + WC, ein Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbett, ein Schlafzimmer mit zwei Einzelbetten (zusammenschiebbar), jeweils ein Einbauschrank im SZ + Kommode, ein großer Balkon mit großem Tisch und 2 Sonnenliegen (von beiden SZ zugänglich).
Zum Pool sind es nur wenige Schritte. Der kleine runde Pool im Vordergrund ist für Erwachsene mehr als knietief (also kein Planschbecken). Zum Meer mit schönem Sandstrand auf direktem Gehweg 150 - 200 Meter.
Die Palmen stehen aber nicht mehr (!) und das Haus jenseits vom Pool ist um ein Stockwerk höher (!) und war noch Baustelle im März 2019 - man sieht aber noch genug von der Bucht.
Als wir da waren mit 2 Ehepaaren hatten wir die Wohnanlage (16 Einheiten) für uns, also war es angenehm ruhig.

 

Complete apartment

This apartment has everything you need: on the ground floor there is a small terrace with a small table, living room with 2 couches and TV, dining table with 6 chairs, WiFi, guest toilet, kitchen with storage room (washing machine, dishwasher, oven, 4-burner gas stove, extractor hood, double sink, refrigerator with separate freezer compartment, cooking utensils including a cake tin). On the first floor there is a bathroom with a bathtub and integrated shower + toilet, a bedroom with a double bed, a bedroom with two single beds (can be pushed together), a built-in wardrobe in each bedroom + chest of drawers, a large balcony with a large table and 2 sun loungers (accessible from both bedrooms).
The pool is just a few steps away. The small round pool in the front is more than knee-deep for adults (so it's not a paddling pool). The sea with a beautiful sandy beach is 150 - 200 meters away on a direct walkway.
The palm trees are no longer there (!) and the house beyond the pool is one floor higher (!) and was still a construction site in March 2019 - but you can still see enough of the bay.
When we were there with 2 couples, we had the residential complex (16 units) to ourselves, so it was pleasantly quiet.

 

Eu adorei estar em S. Martinho do Porto, vila muito simpática, e muito bonita, as pessoas muito acolhedoras. Em relação à casa, estava tudo impecável, a casa era excelente, tinha tudo o que é preciso, torradeiras máquina do café, loiças, aquecimento, até tinha jogos de tabuleiro. Em relação ás chaves, foi muito ´fácil e a Simone muito simpática.

I loved being in S. Martinho do Porto, a very friendly and beautiful town, the people were very welcoming. Regarding the house, everything was impeccable, the house was excellent, it had everything you needed, toasters, coffee machine, crockery, heating, it even had board games. Regarding the keys, it was very easy and Simone was very friendly.

Apartamento muy buen cuidado, y equipado, tiene de todo. Bonitas vistas, acogedor, con calefacción, aunque no se pasa frió en el apartamento. Equipado con todo y buenos gustos.Se estaciona en el exterior con facilidad. Cerca de la playa a 1 minuto a pie.Estuvimos muy agusto y volveríamos a repetir en este apartamento. Wifi funciona de 10. Cerca de Nazare, Caldas de Raihna, Alcobaca, etc. La piscina no la usamos por no ser la época, pero le da un plus al apartamento cuando se pueda utilizar. En definitiva muy aconsejable si se va con familia y niños. La chica que nos entrego la llave, Laura, muy atenta, nos llevo hasta el apartamento. La cama de matrimonio super grande.Desayunar en el solarium un placer y una gozada con esas vistas y esa luminosidad. Piso limpio y acogedor. Me gusto todo, pero por comentar algo, de interpretación personal, el sofá cama, lo vi un poco estrecho, aunque no me hizo falta usarlo.

Very well maintained and equipped apartment, it has everything. Beautiful views, cozy, with heating, although it is not cold in the apartment. Equipped with everything and good taste. Parking outside is easy. Close to the beach, 1 minute walk. We were very comfortable and would stay here again. Wifi works great. Close to Nazare, Caldas de Raihna, Alcobaca, etc. We did not use the pool because it was not the season, but it gives the apartment a plus when it can be used. In short, highly recommended if you go with family and children. The girl who gave us the key, Laura, was very attentive, she took us to the apartment. The super large double bed. Having breakfast on the solarium was a pleasure and a joy with those views and that light. Clean and cozy apartment. I liked everything, but to comment on something, of personal interpretation, the sofa bed, I found it a bit narrow, although I did not need to use it.

Estava equipado com tudo para além do básico (papel higiênico, líquido das mãos, detergente da loiça, pastilhas para a máquina e para quem cozinha havia uma boa reserva de especiarias e azeites deixados pelos anteriores hóspedes). Havia cadeirinha para a bebe comer. Ficamos no rés-do-chão junto à piscina o que para a mais velha foi 5*. Cama de casal XXL Férias com bebe em carrinho tínhamos o incomodo de só ter escadas como acessos. Mas voltaria a fazer o esforço.

 

It was equipped with everything besides the basics (toilet paper, hand liquid, dish detergent, tablets for the machine and for those who cook there was a good supply of spices and oils left by previous guests). There was a high chair for the baby. We were on the ground floor next to the pool, which for the oldest one was 5*. Double bed XXL. Holidays with a baby in a stroller we had the inconvenience of only having stairs as access. But I would make the effort again.

This property is in a good and in a quite position a good view over the bay and very well equipped with everything you need including salt pepper cooking oil. the pool is very clean if a little on the cool side but not too bad when you become climatized.

We (a couple with a 2 year old girl) stayed here for a week in early September and had a really lovely stay. The apartment is very spacious throughout with a very decent sized balcony to sit and enjoy the view. The double bed was very comfortable, as was the mattress for the travel cot which ensured our daughter slept well the whole week. The kitchen is superbly equipped and the owner has even provided plenty of basic essentials to make cooking after home as easy as possible (e.g. pasta, sauces, condiments). The pool is lovely and safe and a real sun trap. The fact that there is a separate children's pool was a real bonus for us. Back to the view... what a lovely view to wake up to. You can see right across the bay. We had a really lovely stay here and would definitely book again if we come back to Sao Martinho. Highly recommended!

It was amazing to visit this place.

This apartment comes with everything that you need, including nice extra touches such as washing up liquid/pasta/loads of toilet rolls (you know, the annoying things you normally have to sort out but never need a full bottle/packet). Great balcony, nice pool, easy parking, couple of minutes to the beach and restaurants. But it is a large apartment block and if you have loads of noisy kids at the pool, neighbours who come home in the middle of the night etc you will hear them! Hence, if you want peace and quiet go elsewhere. Probably ideal for families with younger kids - which is probably true of the whole town.

Nous avons posés nos valises pendant une semaine dans ce superbe appartement parfaitement situé, suffisamment proche de la plage (2mns à pied), tout en étant à l'écart du bruit du centre ville, donc PARFAIT :) ! Confortable et très bien équipé (juste 2-3 petites choses à améliorer, comme la cafetière par exemple), nous avons aussi appréciés la terrasse qui nous permettait d'admirer la magnifique vue sur la baie de "São" du levé au couché du soleil... La piscine était agréable et peu fréquentée normal en ce début de haute saison. Malgré un temps couvert pendant notre séjour, São Martinho est une station balnéaire très sympathique, de bons restos et des points de vus à couper le souffle !

 

Very nice stay in a superb apartment!

We put down our suitcases for a week in this superb apartment perfectly located, close enough to the beach (2 minutes walk), while being away from the noise of the city center, so PERFECT :)! Comfortable and very well equipped (just 2-3 small things to improve, like the coffee maker for example), we also appreciated the terrace which allowed us to admire the magnificent view of the bay of "São" from sunrise to sunset ... The swimming pool was pleasant and not very busy, normal at the beginning of high season. Despite overcast weather during our stay, São Martinho is a very nice seaside town, good restaurants and breathtaking views!

Immediately welcoming, this comfortable, stylish and immaculate apartment is fully equipped to the highest standard. It is situated in the most perfect position with stunning views across the bay, and within walking distance of the beach, restaurants, bars and shops where we found the local people to be very polite and friendly.The owners are exceptionally kind, not intrusive but always on hand should you have a problem or seek advice.We have just returned from a long winter stay here and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a totally carefree and relaxing holiday in the delightful little town of Sao Martinho

I had 5 nights with my wife and 5 and 2 year old daughters. Really enjoyed our stay and the highlights were: A fantastic beach area: very sheltered water, fine white sand Locals are very helpful. Provide genuine service not just unwilling service expecting a tip Apartment has an amazing view (as per photos). Well stocked with essential and non perishable items. We enjoyed the private pool every day Visiting the sand dunes and then walking to the beach on the other side of the bay is recommended We didn't feel the need to do any more than pool,and beach each day as that's what the girls love.

What a lovely holiday, the apartment was immaculate and extremely well equipped. The location was very close to the gorgeous beach, town and the views were stunning. Ideally located to visit the picturesque town of Obidos and Leria. Owners were really helpful and will be booking again next year. Thank you for a great holiday

I would recommend this apartment to anybody. It is in a great spot, just a short walk from the beach and some great restaurants. We enjoyed some amazing seafood (freshly caught of course) and even managed to do a little cooking ourselves in the well appointed kitchen. The pool was great and kept very clean and the views from the balconies were breathtaking. It is only a short drive from Lisbon Airport, and I would recommend hiring a car so that you can thoroughly explore the surrounding area. There is lots to discover and guide books are available in the apartment to help you plan your routes. Very thoughtful! We can not wait to go back.

This apartment has the most amazing views! We couldn't have enough of the glorious view of the bay from the balcony. Its proximity to the safe, sandy beach is ideal for families, as well as having access to a delightful, private pool. The spacious apartment is spotlessly clean, well- decorated and well-maintained throughout, with many thoughtful touches: there's detailed local touring and restaurant advice, and even a DVD selection is provided!
