HOW TO GET TO VILAMOURA FROM FARO AIRPORT

If you're arriving by plane at Faro Airport, considering you're traveling with your friends or family, renting a taxi might be a good option. You can contact the property manager so he/she can book a transfer for you, at a reasonably cheap rate, with a local taxi service. 

- Take N125-10, IC4 and N125 to N396 in Quarteira - 15 min (16.4 km)

- Head north on N125-10 to ward R. Aristides de Sousa Mendes - 2.7 km

- Slight right onto the ramp to Lisboa/Portimão/Loulé - 600 m

- Merge on to IC4 - 4.0 km

- Use the right lane to take the N125 ramp to Faro/Almancil - 450 m

- Keep left to continue on N125 - 7.5 km

- At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto the N396 ramp to Quarteira - 300 m

- Merge onto N396 - 800 m

- Continue on N396. Take Estr. de Quarteira to Av. Eng. João Meireles - 10 min (7.0 km)

- At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit and stay on N396 - 4.0 km

- At the roundabout, take the 1s text onto Av. de Ceuta -200 m

- At the roundabout, continue straight onto Estr. de Quarteira - 1.6 km

- At the roundabout, take 2nd exit onto R.doSol - 180m

- Turn left and take the 2nd left to enter the complex where the villa is located -240m

- Park your car in any available space and walk to the villa.

- Call Elisabete to let her know that you have arrived.

 

CHECK-IN

You can check-in after 16:00

Your arrival can be at any time between 4pm and 9pm. Elisabete will meet you at the property on arrival. It is essential that we know your likely time of arrival so that we can arrange for Elisabete to be at the property. Please tell us your estimated arrival time as far in advance of your stay as possible. 

Please be aware that the property managers are organising their day according to the expected arrival times that they are given. If you find that you are delayed or that there are any changes to your arrival time, please be sure to get in touch with the property manager by phone or SMS. This will help to ensure that you are met on arrival without any problems.

Please be aware that all arrivals after 21:00 are charged € 30, to be paid locally to the property manager.

YOUR DEPARTURE

The day of your departure, you will need to leave the apartment by 10:00 am. 

Before leaving the property, please:

  • Place the keys on the dining table.
  • Clean your dishes and remove waste from the property.
  • Close and latch all windows and doors.
  • Turn off all lights, and TV
  • Double check to confirm you don't leave any personal belongings behind

 

INSIDE THE PROPERTY 

The property should be clean with clean bedding on the beds and clean towels. If you find anything not to your  satisfaction please inform the property managers as soon as possible after your arrival. 

Make yourself at home! The apartment has been well equipped in order to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Please have a good look around -open up all the cupboards, drawers and wardrobes so that you know exactly what is in the apartment.

EMERGENCY SITUATIONS

Fuse Box
The fuse box is found by the front door of the property.

      

Safety Equipment
Please ensure that you become familiar with where the fire extinguisher, fire blanket and First-Aid kit are located, in case needed.

 

Water Leak
If you have a leak of water then please turn the mains stopcock off and call Elisabete. The main control for the water is found in a white box just outside of the villa. Most outlets for the water can be individually isolated (i.e. there are valves on the pipes leading to the sinks /toilets which can be turned to prevent water getting to the unit).

 

Water, Gas & Heating
The boiler, gas and water supply should all be switched on prior to your arrival. If you have any problems, call the property managers and they will be able to assist you. The tap water is safe to drink however all supermarkets stock bottled water if this is your preference. In the unlikely event that you have a water or gas leak. 

 

GENERAL INFORMATION

Breakages
We understand if everyday items such as glasses, plates etc., may get accidentally broken. Please leave a note detailing any broken items so that they can be replaced for the next guest.

 

Door & Locks
Never leave a key in the lock on the inside of the front door. If a key is left in the lock on the inside of the front door, it will not be possible to open the door with another key.
When going out for long periods of time, please make sure you secure the villa by locking doors and windows.
When using the balconies please be careful not to shut the sliding door behind you completely or it may lock you out if the catch is on. Similarly, be careful to ensure all sliding doors are locked before leaving the property.

 

Drains
To ensure that the drains do not become blocked, please dispose of nappies, sanitary towels and cleaning wipes with  the general  household waste.

 

Shutters
There are shutters on all windows. We recommend you leave these shut in the day if you are out so the property remains secure and cool. 

 

Smoking
The property is strictly NON-SMOKING and we ask our guests to respect this policy. Please feel free to smoke outside, but please be responsible when disposing of cigarette ends. Also, take care when smoking near open windows. Due to the extra cleaning and ventilation required, there is a 100€ charge for smoking in the house.

 

Spillages
Please  be quick to clean up any spillages to help prevent damage.

 

Wi-Fi 
The property has Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi name and Security Code can be found in a little book on the table.

 

THE COMPLEX

Bins
We respectfully ask that you keep the  apartment free from excess refuse.  Please dispose of your refuse on a regular basis so  that it does not attract insects.  In Portugal, there are large bins on the street for disposal of general household waste.  For recycling, the yellow containers that you see on the streets are for plastic and metal, the blue containers are for  paper and cardboard and  the green containers are for glassThe nearest bins are just outside the villa complex entrance.

  

Parking
You'll have remote control access to a restricted parking area for home owners of the complex. The property manager will provice you with the remote. There's also parking spaces, for free, availabel outside the complex.
