Barrel - Fantastic 3 bedroom apartment on the hill in Nazaré with partial sea views and two pools
Description
This tastefully decorated apartment is situated on the ground floor with a balcony and 3 bedrooms, sleeping 7 people in total.
The first bedroom has a double bed. The second room has two
single beds. The third bedroom has a single bed with an additional
pull out single bed underneath. There is an additional day bed that
can be used on request.
The property benefits from two bathrooms. One with bath and shower
over, WC, basin and bidet and one with a shower, WC and
basin.
There is a lovely lounge and dining area and a great private
terrace area and outdoor garden furniture for use here.
There is a TV and DVD player inside the property and at the pool there are communal sunloungers for guests to use. The apartment also benefits from central heating should you need it.
The complex is very attractive with wide open spaces and seating
where you can sit and enjoy the views. The pool areas have been
carefully looked after and provide a nice environment to enjoy the
sun.
The apartment is only 1200 metres to the beach and there is plenty
of public transport to most places from Nazare including
Lisbon.
However if you are bringing a car there is parking on the street in front of the complex where there is ample parking space.
Nazare is a very charming, traditional Portuguese seaside town with a population of approximately 13,000. Historically the key form of income for the town was the fishing industry, an industry that is very much present to this day as visitors will see by the numerous lines of fish sun-drying along the beach.
Nazare has become famous worldwide over the past 5 years owing to a unique canyon just off the coast that creates the biggest waves in the world during Oct and November each year. In the summer the waves are small and great for those just having fun. In October and November the waves should be rode by professionals only.
Today tourism is undoubtedly the key industry in Nazare. Given the huge expanses of beautiful beaches and the picturesque cliff-line views, it certainly comes as no surprise that Nazare has such a massive appeal. On the back of the thriving tourist industry a vast number of cafes, bars and restaurants have emerged throughout the town. With numerous restaurants along the sea front, visitors can dine on some fantastic fresh seafood and enjoy the magnificent views.

- There's a mandatory final cleaning charge of € 75.
Check-in/ Check-out Times:
- Check-in from 16:00 to 20:00.
- Check-out until 10:00.
Baby Cot + Highchair:
- A set including a baby cot and highchair is available for hire (if available). The set needs to be arranged in advance and the cost is € 20 per stay.
Refundable Security Deposit: € 150
- The refundable security deposit is returned to you 2 weeks after your stay.
- The security deposit increases to € 300 over the Christmas and New Year period.
Christmas/New Year Season:
- Christmas/New Year bookings of less than 1 week, over this period, will be charged for 1 week and the security deposit increases to € 300.
Cancellation Policy:
- Cancellation fee of 20% of the booking up to 5 weeks before the holiday, and 100% when the holiday is less than 5 weeks away.

Nuestra estancia en el apartamento Barrel de Nazaré fue tranquila y agradable. Las indicaciones para la llegada, sobre el apartamento incluso sobre las ofertas de ocio en los alrededores fue muy completa. La atención recibida fue cercana. Eramos siete y cuando llegamos el apartamento estaba limpio y preparado excepto la cama supletoria que carecía de sábanas. Avisamos al contacto y en media hora nos acercaron a casa el juego de sábanas que necesitabamos. El apartamento es amplio y muy completo en cuanto a menaje y utensilio. La urbanización es tranquila. En general una estancia muy agradable.
A quiet and pleasant stay.
Our stay at the Barrel apartment in Nazaré was quiet and pleasant. The directions for arrival, about the apartment and even about the leisure activities in the surrounding area were very complete. The attention received was friendly. There were seven of us and when we arrived the apartment was clean and ready except for the extra bed which lacked sheets. We notified the contact person and within half an hour they brought us the set of sheets we needed to our house. The apartment is spacious and very complete in terms of kitchenware and utensils. The development is quiet. In general a very pleasant stay.
O apartamento em si muito espaçoso e bem organizado com tudo o que é necessário. O local onde está situado muito calmo e com fácil acesso de estacionamento. Dá para ver o mar e é maravilhoso. Éramos dois casais com dois filhos cada um e ficamos todos muito satisfeitos com a estadia. O apartamento é exatamente como está descrito para alugar. Recomendo.
The apartment itself is very spacious and well organized with everything you need. The location is very quiet and has easy access to parking. You can see the sea and it is wonderful. We were two couples with two children each and we were all very satisfied with our stay. The apartment is exactly as described for rent. I recommend it.
L'appartement est agréable mais mériterait un rafraîchissement : par exemple peinture des murs et un changement des ustensiles de cuisine… L'appartement est malgré tout bien équipé : four, micro-onde, machine à laver et lave vaisselle : équipement indispensable pour passer un bon séjour. Les piscines de la résidence sont un plus et ont fortement été appréciées. La résidence se situe dans les hauteurs de Nazaré, la vue est superbe. L'agence est sérieuse et ils restent à notre disponibilité pour tout problème rencontré pendant le séjour. Nous recommandons cette location.
The apartment is nice but could do with a bit of updating: for example, painting the walls and changing the kitchen utensils... The apartment is nevertheless well equipped: oven, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher: essential equipment for a pleasant stay. The residence's swimming pools are a plus and were greatly appreciated. The residence is located in the heights of Nazaré, the view is superb. The agency is serious and they remain at our disposal for any problem encountered during the stay. We recommend this rental.

Nazaré nos ha parecido muy bonito y también todos los pueblos de alrededor. Por supuesto, no se puede dejar de ir a Fátima y visitar el Santuario, rezar a la Virgen y recorrer el camino de los pastorcillos.
We found Nazaré very beautiful, as did all the surrounding villages. Of course, you cannot miss going to Fatima and visiting the Sanctuary, praying to the Virgin and following the shepherds' path.

Hemos estado en el mes de diciembre de 2017. El apartamento es precioso, muy limpio y completo, además tiene unas vistas al mar bellísimas. Tiene una terraza donde se puede desayunar disfrutando del paisaje y un balcón desde donde se aprecia el mar. No nos ha faltado nada, la cocina está muy bien equipada y el piso es muy confortable y amplio. En primavera verano debe ser encantador ya que se podrá disfrutar de la piscina y jardín.
The apartment and the views are beautiful
We stayed here in December 2017. The apartment is beautiful, very clean and complete, and it also has beautiful sea views. It has a terrace where you can have breakfast while enjoying the scenery and a balcony from where you can see the sea. We didn't lack anything, the kitchen is very well equipped and the apartment is very comfortable and spacious. In spring and summer it must be lovely as you can enjoy the pool and garden.

Spacious apartment, well equipped, pleasant to live in. The large balcony overlooks the swimming pool of the residence: very enjoyable for children. The small downside: the residence is located on the heights of Nazare so very windy place.
Nous sommes rentrés de Nazaré ou nous avons passés une superbe semaine. Grand ppartement splendide, avec tout ce qu'il faut : 3 chambres spacieuses avec grand placards, 1 salle de bain et une salle de douche, 2 wc, une magnifique cuisine tout équipée, un salon/salle a manger très agréable où il fait bon traîner le soir... et 2 terrasses une donnant sur la piscine et l autre, dans une chambre, avec vue sur Nazaré, le petit port et la plage. Séjour très agréable dans ce bel ppartement.

We just came back from Nazaré where we spent a great week. Large splendid apartment, with everything you need: 3 spacious bedrooms with large closets, 1 bathroom and a shower room, 2 toilets, a magnificent fully equipped kitchen, a very pleasant living/dining room where it is good to hang out in the evening... and 2 terraces, one overlooking the pool and the other, in a bedroom, with a view of Nazaré, the small port and the beach. Very pleasant stay in this beautiful apartment.
